Florida

Introduction

The Florida, the smallest container in the Procona range (dimensions 9.4 x 11.8 inch), is ideally suited for use in retail outlets such as florists, supermarkets and (hospital) gift shops: Flowers are presented perfectly, can be sold straight from the container without re-packaging or trimming the stems and the quantity of flowers in Florida containers is ample to ensure the display is always attractively full.

Florida containers will take loads of up to 110 lbs (at 5°C (40°F), for 3 - 6 days) and fit on pallets measuring 40 x 48 inch, 31.5 x 48 inch and 23.6 x 31.5 inch and on (Danish) trolleys. Florida containers are available in three heights to suit flowers with different stem lengths. They can be used in combination with the Florida top frame to add 5.9 inch to the height of the container.

Height  Ideal for stem lengths Plus top frame suitable for stem lengths
7.1 inch Up to 13.8 inch
    9.8 inch 13.8 - 19.7 inch 19.7 - 31.5 inch
    13.8 inch 19.7 - 31.5 inch 31.5 - 43.3 inch

Like all Procona packaging the Florida containers have matching straight collars available in a range of heights in both cardboard and plastic. The collars are so strong that Florida containers full of flowers can be stacked up to a height of 94.5 inch, even when in chilled transport for a long time.

Florida containers and lids are suitable for both single and repeated use.

Florida 25 and 35 with closed hand grips

Florida 25 and 35 containers with closed hand grips were developed for exporting cut flowers from the Netherlands to Japan. The stringent import stipulations specified by the Japanese Plant Protection Service in the Netherlands demand that after being checked products must be transported in sealed packaging. Which is why the hand grips are closed.

The additional insulation provided by closed containers make them a very practical solution in regions where heavy frosts are probable. The top frame cannot be used with closed containers.
