Pagter's Commitment to Sustainability: Focus on Recycled Materials

Demand for products made from recycled materials, also known as regran products, is on the rise. At Pagter, we have recognized this trend and are actively involved in this development, without compromising the quality of our products.

For example, 50% of our Procona product line is already made from regran materials. We are also proud to announce that our Porto 10 product line is made entirely from 100% recycled material. We are currently exploring ways to increase the proportion of recycled material in our other products or to develop new products made partially or entirely from regran.

This underscores our commitment to sustainability and our dedication to delivering high-quality products.

The collars are an important part of the stackable Procona system. The collars are available in multiple heights, ensuring there is a perfect collar for every pole length. You can choose between recyclable cardboard or plastic collars.

The single-use cardboard collars are FSC-certified, which contributes to forest conservation and a healthy environment. For more demanding conditions (and for a fully reusable packaging solution), we offer our sturdy polypropylene (PP5) collars, which can be reused up to 25 times and come in standard transparent white. Other colors are available upon request.

All Procona collars come standard with the Procona name and height printed on them, along with the recycling symbol. For a personalized look, we also offer custom printing, available for orders of a minimum quantity. This way, the collar can also serve as a display.

Once the Procona is filled with flowers, the lid is placed on the top edge of the collar, which fits into the rim of the container. The container, collar, and lid are then securely fastened with packing tape, which can be used to lift the entire package.

The ridges on the lid ensure that a Procona placed on top slides easily into place and remains stable. 

Thanks to ventilation openings in the lid, fresh air flows into the Procona while the warm, humid air from the flowers escapes. This ensures that even Proconas in the middle of a full pallet are well ventilated, and the contents remain visible for inspection without the need to unpack them.

Print your company name and logo—and even unique barcodes or QR codes—on the edges of your Proconas.

The Porto range, consisting of four models, offers various options for bouquets, depending on characteristics such as stem thickness, firmness (e.g., bumps on carnations or thorns on roses), the presence of leaves, and stem stiffness. The ideal capacity of the Porto varies with the size of the bouquet; it is optimal when the bouquet size is 70% (plus or minus 20%) of the lid opening, allowing the flexible tabs in the opening to function effectively and ensuring the flowers receive sufficient water.

All models are available in white as standard, but other colors are available upon request, subject to a minimum order quantity.
