Procona

ProconaProcona is the packaging system for cut flowers for the entire logistic chain.
Procona enables you to transport flowers economically from A to Z in the entire chain. And as Procona can be stacked it’s easy to transport on pallets. Procona also fits snugly on auction trolleys and Danish trolleys.

Procona: From PROducer to CONsumer in Aqua.

Procona is a strong, robust packaging system for cut flowers. The system
comprises a container (1) with a rim (1a), a collar (2) which fits in the rim of
the container, and a lid (3) which makes the packaging stackable.
The Procona system is constructed to ensure an optimal climate in the packaging unit in order to condition the product. Cold air flows in (past the flowers) through the hand grips in the container and the openings in the lid. The flow of cold air is ensured, even in the middle of a pallet stacked with Proconas.

Range of Procona containers

There are three sizes of the Procona system:

Containers measuring 9.4" x 11.8" (Florida);
Containers measuring 11.8" x 13" (London);
Containers measuring 11.8" x 15.7" (Amsterdam & Valencia);

These are the largest exterior dimensions. For each size there are various
container heights. There is a collar for every stem length – so you get a good
load factor in the packaging unit.

Advantages of Procona

Procona containers are the perfect transport packaging unit for cut flowers across the entire chain, because:

  • The quality of the cut flowers is ensured - with good, chilled transport (good ventilation, no condensation on the flowers, in water).
  • One packaging unit can go right through the entire chain (right into the shop!).
  • The flowers stand in water – no need for further watering or trimming (cost savings)
  • Procona has a higher load factor than all other packing formulas for cut flowers in water (number of stems per pallet or per measure of volume).
