To improve the presentation of long flowers and flowers with weak stems Pagter Innovations has specially developed the Valencia topframe. The Valencia topframe can be used in combination with the Valencia and Amsterdam containers in heights of 25 or 35 cm. The Valencia topframe is ideal for packaging and transporting long flowers in general; stems up to 120 cm in length are no problem. The topframe projects 25 cm above the container. This increases the height of the container and improves presentation of the flowers. Valencia topframes measure 43 x 44 cm (exterior), which makes them larger than Valencia or Amsterdam containers (40 x 30 cm). This means more flowers will fit into a Valencia or Amsterdam which is fitted with a Valencia topframe - provided the bunches are shaped conically.
Due to the larger exterior sizes of the Valencia topframe, fewer containers fit on one pallet layer than containers without topframe. So, with less packaging, you get the same load. In many situations, the use of containers with the Valencia topframe costs just as much as the use of normal containers with high collars, because less containers, collars and lids are needed, while the load remains the same. We know from experience that flowers with stem lengths of 40-55 cm present well in a 25 cm high container. Flowers with stem length between 55-80 cm present well in a 35 cm high container. If flowers are longer than 70-80 cm or have somewhat weak stems – they will need support.
The Valencia topframe is placed on top of the Valencia or Amsterdam container. The two lips on the side of the topframe click under the container handle – now the topframe is fixed firmly on the container.
