Procona gerbera packaging processing line |
A processing line has been developed for packaging gerberas in Procona. This line comprises the following:
- Insertion table
- Water dosing machine
- Strapping machine (table model)

.Insertion table
There are different models of insertion tables. And for every type of interior there is a separate insertion table. As the gerbera stems do not need to be watered in advance the insertion table also acts as a buffer. Buffer trays are also available for Danish trolleys.
Water dosing machine
The bags in the tray must be filled with water. A manual water dosing machine developed for this fills both bags evenly at a single movement.
It is important to add rose pre-treatment solution to the water. You can use a dosing pump for this or a manual pump. Each bag (content around 2 litres of water) should be filled with 4 ml rose pre-treatment.
Strapping machine
Once the interiors have been placed on the interior and the collar and the lid have been placed on the packaging unit, it is closed with a strap. |
